Let’s start here.

I work with people who have faced challenges or trauma in their life. As an experienced MBACP psychotherapist, I specialise in integrative-based holistic treatment, helping my clients recontextualise and process their experiences in order to live a healthier, more fulfilled tomorrow. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach that helps clients safely unpack their experiences while staying grounded in the present.

You’ll begin to notice changes in yourself and your life within your first six sessions, and from there we’ll continue to collaborate to ensure therapy is moving in the right direction.

£115 for an in-person session

£85 for an online session

How Individual Therapy Works

 

Step One: Schedule A Consultation Call

I offer free 15-minute consultation calls to all new clients. I’ll ask you about issues you are currently experiencing and describe my therapeutic style and modalities. If for some reason we determine that it’s not the best match, I’ll always provide referrals and resources to help you move in a different direction.

Step Two: Book An Intake

Intake sessions are 60 minutes and cover your entire history. Intakes are more structured than other sessions; I take detailed notes to focus on where you’ve been and the direction you’d like to go. Sharing so much of your history within a short amount of time can feel like a lot, so be sure to schedule some time for self-care following the session.

Step Three: Complete Paperwork

All paperwork and payment methods will be filled out electronically. It’s a quick process and should take no more than ten minutes. You’ll get a separate email with a link for your sessions or confirming your in-person location and session time. If you’re having virtual therapy sessions, make sure to save this link somewhere that’s easy to access—you’ll use the same link every week.

FAQs

  • In the UK, people ages 18 or older can start therapy on their own, there’s no need for parental consent. This makes starting the process of therapy easy and quick. If you’re under 18, talking with a parent or guardian is a great first step before starting therapy.

  • Everything is virtual! We’ll do an initial consultation either on the phone or online and then set up weekly appointments. You’ll receive all the intake paperwork in a secure, online platform which will also process your payments. You’ll get appointment reminders and have access to all your billing info online.

  • While I am not currently accepting insurance, please email hello@langtherapypractice and I would be happy to add you to the waiting list for your insurance.

  • Therapy is work and there’s no easy, fix-all solution. We’ll work together to make a plan that ensures you’re getting exactly what you want out of therapy. This is your time.

    I’ll regularly ask you how you feel therapy is going and we can make adjustments where we need to.

    You can also ask yourself these questions: Am I experiencing more joy? Do I have fewer conflicts? Am I able to make decisions with greater confidence and ease?

  • That’s completely up to you! Some people thrive on accountability and targeted interventions -- if that sounds like you, great! Homework is never a requirement, nor is it something I’ll push on you if it’s not your style. Regardless, we’ll work on building up coping skills in session together, which you can practice as much as you like at home.

  • My fees are:

    • £95/125 for in-person sessions (depending on location)

    • £75 for online sessions
